The Clarity Code

Having clarity is the most underrated and yet most important attribute that we can have in our lives.

Big statement I know – but think on this:

Nearly all of the negative events in our lives – personal and commercial – can be traced back to just going with the flow, not exercising any foresight and not having any conscious plan for our future. By not having any clarity about what we want and where we want to go and what we want to achieve in our personal and professional lives we leave ourselves and those we care about more exposed to the vagaries of fate than they need to be. Or should be.

Clarity is a rare skill and one that is both wide and deep in scope and effect. It is the one skill that will enable us and our loved ones to live a larger life. That is a life we want to live and more importantly choose to live.

Clarity is about creating and consciously making choices. It is the most empowering of attributes because with it we can go about making the decisions that bring us closer to realising our goals. And living our dreams.

But here’s the kicker in the overall sense Clarity applies to our life – and all the parts of it. There is no ‘Work Life Balance’ – just where we choose to focus our energies and for what period of time. But our lives are complex beasts and we cope better with living if we are able to put things into separate compartments, boxes and lists…
This makes achieving clarity a multifaceted task because to be really clear in our life we have to be clear in as many areas of it as we can stand….

This means that Clarity has to encompass both our non-work / commercial time as well as the time we spend making a living (or hopefully Living a Larger Life).
So what areas do we need to be clear on?

For a start we should have some idea of what we want out of our life and what we want to achieve during it. We need to know what this will look and feel like and how we can go about achieving it. We need to know what we are good at and if this is something we can get paid enough for to live a larger life. Or do we need to develop other skills in order to earn enough to support our goals and dreams?

It encompasses goal setting. Resource review skill acquisition planning self-development strategy marketing sales pricing products etc

The Clarity process goes like this:

  • What do I want in life (usually split into a few areas)
  • When do I want it?
  • Who do I want to spend it with?
  • How will I get it?
  • From Whom?
  • How much will it cost?
  • Is it sustainable? (ie has longevity)
  • What will I sell?
  • Who to
  • For how much?
  • How often?
  • What skills do I need to be able to provide the product to the client to ge the money?
  • Etc etc etc…

Achieving clarity in your personal and business lives can seem daunting and without some signposts to follow or a process to be guided by can be all too hard.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Achieving clarity across the numerous areas of your life is relatively simple – but it is not easy. There is a roadmap and a way; a path and a process.

There is a Code.

All it requires is determination, thought, self honesty and hard work to close the gaps in your knowledge.

More to come………
